Photo by: henrikj. Found this in the Recent Interesting section of Flickr. It’s such an awesome scenic shot, I couldn’t pass it up. I love the composition, with the body of water in the lower left flowing out into the ocean. And there’s just a hint of a sky and…

Photo by: ufufnmitsue. Spotted this pic in the recent uploads on Flickr. Nice scenic pic of the ocean and the seaside. The sky is well exposed (see the blueish tint to it), and the clouds add some visual appeal. But it looks like this little cove is in a shadow…

Photo by: daplums. Wow. The colors and the saturation in this sunset is just eye-catching. It’s definitely what caught my eye. I was looking through the recent uploads, and within one or two pages of pictures this screamed out to me, “Cool.” Sunsets are a tough thing to photograph on…

Photo by caleb.pierce. Today’s picture comes out of the latest pics. I stumbled on a baseball set that I really liked, but the photographer disabled downloading so I couldn’t link directly to the picture. So we get the runner up instead. Still, this is a nice scene. The composition is…

About Digital Photography How To

Digital Photography How To is intended to be a guide to people learning how to use their digital SLR cameras. Three years ago, I had never picked up a camera; now, I produce a yearbook every year and I moonlight as a professional photographer.

I write this website to share what I've learned in that time. The topics will range from truly beginners topics, to tutorials for post processing, to resources for yearbook and graphic design, to thoughts on transitioning from a hobbyist to a professional. Keep up to date by subscribing to the RSS feed.
